  • Prompt: A visceral, fever-dream interpretation of sunflowers, executed in the raw, neurotic style of Egon Schiele. Rather than a lush garden, a single, skeletal sunflower is depicted against a void of oppressive, mustard-toned negative space, its stem twisting with a jagged, arthritic tension that mimics the strained anatomy of Schiele’s human figures. The petals are not vibrant yellow, but a sickly, ochre-orange, curling inward like scorched parchment or peeling skin, with sharp, angular contours that feel aggressive and fragile all at once. The central seed head is a dark, swirling vortex of deep umber and bruised purple, resembling a wide-open, screaming eye or a decaying wound. Harsh, charcoal-black outlines define the form with a frantic, nervous energy, while erratic splashes of pale white highlight and muddy greens bleed into the canvas, creating a sense of profound existential loneliness and eroticized decay. The composition is off-balance and claustrophobic, transforming a symbol of warmth into a haunting study of fragility and psychological distress.
