  • Prompt: with little help of Malcolm T. Liepke Shading Techniques while Sculpting: When sculpting surrealistic portraits, consider using extreme contrasts between smooth and rough textures. For example, create areas of highly polished skin adjacent to rough, unrefined surfaces. This can emphasize the otherworldly nature of your subjects. Additionally, play with the placement of shadows on your sculpture by using directional light sources, creating a sense of depth and mystery in your work.
