  • Prompt: Create an all male image from the following:- At twenty-three, “Sorry, Ian I forgot we were meant to meet.” And you smiled, because forgetting was still a small thing then. At thirty-three, “Ian, where do I keep my socks?” And love was found in ordinary places drawers, doorways, the quiet map of home. At forty-three, “Ian, I’m sorry I forgot I was boiling eggs.” The kitchen filled with smoke, and you opened every window, laughing softly at the years beginning to loosen. At fifty-three, “Ian, where is Jasper?” But Jasper had been gone for fifteen years. I searched the rooms for a ghost with gentle paws, while you held the silence and answered what you could. At sixty-three, “Where am I?” And You told me Here. With you. Still loved, still held inside the life we made. At seventy-three, “Who are you?” I asked. And you wondered if somewhere beneath the fading, I still knew your name, not as a word, but as the warmth of a hand I trusted. Then, later “Who am I?” The question lingered after my voice had gone, small as a candle in the dark. I passed away soon after, but I remained, carrying every version of you. the young guy who missed a meeting, the man who lost his socks, the mind of forgotten eggs, the keeper of Jasper’s memory, the frightened old man asking for home, and the stranger who looked at you as though we had never met. I knew who you were. I knew who I was. You were Ian, the one who stayed, the one who remembered, the one who loved me all the way through forgetting. No text.
