Prompt: the New Jerusalem, descending from the celestial realms, resplendent with the divine glory of God. Its brilliance shone with a transcendent clarity, like a rare jewel, radiant and pure. The city, an embodiment of divine perfection, was arrayed in the purest gold, yet such was its purity that it seemed as clear as glass, reflecting the divine light in a myriad of hues.
This celestial city's foundations were adorned with all manner of precious stones, each layer a testament to its majesty. The first foundation glimmered with the deep red of jasper; the second shimmered with the tranquil blue of sapphire; the third, a chalcedony, a symphony of colors; the fourth, an emerald, rich and verdant. The fifth foundation sparkled with the red and white bands of sardonyx; the sixth, a carnelian, as red as blood; the seventh, a chrysolite, golden like the sun; the eighth, beryl, sea-green and deep. The ninth foundation dazzled with the yellow glow of topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprase, green as the earth; the eleventh, a jacinth, dark and mysterious; the twelfth, an amethyst, royal and purple.
Twelve gates, each fashioned from a single, luminous pearl, stood at the entrances, with the names of the twelve tribes of Israel inscribed upon them. The gates opened upon streets of gold, so pure and unblemished that they appeared as transparent glass, a path paved with glory, leading the faithful to the heart of divine presence.
Above all, the city needed no sun or moon to shine upon it, for the glory of God gave it light, and the Lamb was its lamp. Nations would walk by this light, and the kings of the earth would bring their splendor into it, their offerings a tribute to the Almighty. The gates would never shut, for there would be no night there, and nothing impure would ever enter it, nor anyone who did what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
