Through the Flood

• Model: Krea 2 Turbo

• Size: 1472 X 832 (1.22 MP)

• Used settings:

  • Prompt: ((((Masterpiece)))), a multi-block woodcut and linocut print in a stark, graphic urban style. A scene of heavy flooding unfolds on a city street, rendered with dramatic contrast and textured detail. A person in a blue raincoat is the focal point, their form defined by a master key block of strained, determined lines. They push a partially submerged motorcycle through murky water, their posture bent with effort, their face carved with grim resolve. The raincoat is a flat, vivid field of cobalt blue, a beacon of color against the grey surroundings. The motorcycle is partially submerged, its form suggested by angular, mechanical shapes visible above the waterline. The floodwater itself is a field of murky browns and greys, rendered with horizontal, wavy grooves and layered, translucent inks to suggest depth and reflection. Debris floats on the surface as scattered, irregular shapes. In the background, blurred pedestrians navigate the flooded street. Their forms are reduced to soft, overlapping silhouettes in muted tones, wading through the water with hunched postures. The surrounding buildings are suggested by simple, architectural shapes in deep greys and charcoals. The sky is an overcast expanse of layered, translucent greys, casting a flat, diffused light over the scene. Reflections in the water add depth, depicted through mirrored, distorted shapes and soft, horizontal lines. The overall palette is a somber blend of deep blues, murky browns, stormy greys, and muted earth tones, with the bright blue raincoat providing a powerful focal point. The mood is one of struggle and resilience amidst urban chaos, captured through the graphic intensity, high-contrast drama, and textured depth of hand-pulled printmaking. Graphic style, linocut, woodcut, key block, bold outlines, flat colors, urban, atmospheric, high-contrast, textured, stylistic, flood struggle.

Flooded City Wanderer

• Model: ChatGPT 2

• Size: 3812 X 2144 (8.17 MP)

• Used settings:

  • Prompt: A wide cinematic post-apocalyptic seascape. A lone **adult explorer** stands left of center on the roof of a half-submerged old bus, looking over a drowned city. The explorer wears a long weathered dark coat, sturdy boots, and a vintage gas mask with round lenses, seen mostly from behind in three-quarter view. Keep the figure small compared with the environment. The city is flooded by a vast **luminous turquoise ocean**, essential to the image: clear aqua, cyan, teal, and blue-green water filling streets between ruined skyscrapers. Beneath the surface, suggest submerged roads, vehicles, broken structures, and darker depths. The sea should feel beautiful, glassy, deep, and uncanny. Tall skeletal skyscrapers rise like islands from the water, with broken facades, hollow floors, exposed frames, coral-like growth, moss, vines, and pink flowering vegetation. Some towers are partially collapsed and fade gradually into cyan mist, softened by marine overgrowth. Include elegant **manta rays** gliding through the middle and lower water, smaller marine silhouettes beneath the surface, and one distant **whale silhouette** drifting through the hazy upper background, creating a surreal blend between sea and sky. Add a few translucent floating bubbles scattered through the air and scene for a dreamlike touch. On the right, feature a dramatic **tilted traffic light** hanging from a bent pole, wrapped in vines and pink blossoms above the flooded ruins. Add coral, marine plants, flowering growth, and scattered pink petals along broken ledges, bus edges, and foreground debris. Preserve the distinctive palette: **dominant luminous turquoise ocean**, aqua and cyan atmosphere, blue-green mist, dark teal shadows, weathered gray stone, pale hazy light, and vivid coral-pink and rose blossoms. The cool turquoise water contrasted with pink flowers must remain the visual signature. Create strong foreground/midground/background depth: detailed bus roof and explorer in front, ruined towers and manta rays in the middle distance, distant skyline and whale dissolving into mist. Use atmospheric perspective, overlapping structures, transparent water, subtle ripples, suspended particles, and reflective highlights to avoid any flat look. Lighting is layered and cinematic: diffused marine daylight, glowing turquoise reflections, soft highlights on wet surfaces, subtle rim light on the explorer, and gentle haze around distant towers. Painterly high-end concept art with digital oil richness, soft texture, fine environmental detail, and deep atmospheric scale. Mood: wonder after collapse, beauty reclaiming disaster, civilization surrendered to the returning sea. Wide 16:9 composition, immersive environmental storytelling, surreal but believable.

Resilience in a Flooded Dystopia

• Model:

• Size: 3072 X 3072 (9.44 MP)

• Used settings:

  • Prompt: The image depicts a pregnant woman, standing in a flooded street. The atmosphere is dark and apocalyptic, with a gray sky and threatening clouds looming above her. The woman, with a determined and almost disturbing look, is immersed in water up to her waist, her prominent belly is emphasized by the gesture of her hands that encircle it with strength and protection. The surrounding environment is degraded: decaying and abandoned buildings, garbage and debris floating in the water. The submerged objects include books, cans and other urban waste, accentuating the sense of decay and ruin. The image evokes a feeling of struggle and resistance, perhaps symbolizing the contrast between life and destruction. The pregnant female figure represents the hope of life that continues despite the chaos that surrounds her, but also a condition of vulnerability in a hostile world. By Greg Rutkowski,
