Do not add text and make the background transparent: A Medieval enamel inlaid copper alloy horse harness pendant, probably dating to c. AD 1200-1400. The pendant consists of a trefoilate plate, with a transverse attachment loop projecting from between two lobes at the top. The pendant is inlaid with enamel, depicting three reserved crowns against a blue enamel inlaid field. Each crown is decorated with three jewels on its band, consisting of red enamel inlaid pellets. azure three crowns or. Dimensions: length 40.0mm; width 34.2mm; thickness 7.0mm; weight 9.71g. Ashley (2002: 21, nos. 197-198) publishes two similar pendants, although these feature a gules (red) field, as opposed to azure, suggesting the arms belong to the Bishop of Ely. Clark (1998: 66, no. 65) publishes a further comparable example lacking surviving enamel, but suggests that it was probably originally an azure field, the arms of Bury st. Edmunds.
