If you want to DC charge the BEV battery directly you will have to match the voltage of the battery. In the case of Tesla for example, the battery voltage is 350V for the Model 3 and Model X, 375V for the Model S and 400V for the Model Y.
Or is he planning on using a 48V golfcart to keep things simple?
I guess you could generate 230V AC with the eCat and then use an EV charger to generate the DC power required to top up the BEV battery.
