Feature Request: Audience Visibility Controls (Followers-Only & Custom Groups) #99

Feature Open
Rojitha Yasaswin Rojitha Yasaswin · opened

Hi DDG Team,

I’d like to suggest adding custom audience/visibility options when publishing artworks, such as Public, Followers-Only, or Selected Audience/Groups.

Having a Followers-Only option would give users a great incentive to build and grow their follower base on the platform, as creators could offer exclusive pieces to their loyal followers.

Furthermore, being able to publish to selected audiences or groups would allow artists to tailor their posts to specific tastes filtering and sharing particular styles or niche artworks directly with the community members who appreciate them most.

Thank you for considering this feature to help enhance community interaction and audience engagement!

  • #41 Invite-only private gallery (private room)

    LZ26 LZ26 · filed · merged

I'd love to be able to invite people to my "private room" — in other words, a private gallery that only invited members can see.

Same idea as #99: choosing who can see your dreams, and an invite-only gallery is one of its options. Your votes and comments are there now.

my point is, no offence of course, yes I realise that... but it make no sense to vote something down that has no bearing, you either use the feature or you don't. People who vote down suggestions such as this are very selfish beings.

I would have thought this could cater for Friends and Family, not just Members of DDG.

Actually there is something wrong with the voting system. If one clicks the up vote, then one writes a comment and afterwards can't recall if one had clicked the Up vote. If one then clicks Up again to make sure, the vote total go's DOWN one instead of staying the same. If one doesn't notice then one's Up vote has been cancelled.

@Unreal Thank you, you were right! Clicking the up arrow a second time took your vote back, and the arrow did not show your vote while the mouse was over it.

Fixed now: your vote shows as a solid green arrow (red for a down vote), also under the mouse, and clicking the same arrow again keeps your vote. To change your vote, click the other arrow.
