My loyal friend, my canine mate,
Whose wagging tail doth elevate,
My heart with joy and love and glee,
That's what my dog means to me.
From puppyhood to full-grown pup,
You've been with me, never giving up,
With a bark so fierce and a heart so true,
You've been my companion through and through.
Your boundless energy and playful grin,
Make my heart sing and my worries thin,
You're always there to lend a paw,
And never judge or have a flaw.
In times of need or when I'm sad,
You snuggle close, no words to add,
You listen well and understand,
My dog, you're the best friend I've ever had.
Your gentle touch and loving gaze,
Brighten up even the darkest of days,
I thank the stars above for sending you,
My dog, my friend, forever true.
So here's to you, my furry mate,
For being my soulmate, my better half, my fate,
May we walk together through life's journey,
My dog, my best friend, until the end of eternity.
