His father was a caveman.
His mother came from Mars.
You might say he's a hybrid
Of the variant Rock-Stars.

Poor fellow, he was haunted
Throughout his formative years.
Young Grok was not accepted
By either group of peers.

The 'thals said he was crazy
Made fun of his tiny nose
And said, "He can't be one of us -
he don't have hairy toes!"

On the other hand, the aliens
Viewed him as too human.
He was smart enough, and fast enough,
But man, was he late-bloomin'.

So Grok left home to make his way
And avoid the persecution.
He studied hard and graduated
And began his evolution.

He buckled down and got a job,
And changed his name to "JB",
And now he's rich and famous,
Drawing lizards on DDG.
