Joshua led, a valiant sight,
Victories won with God's own might.
But in their midst, a hidden sin,
Would soon cause trouble to begin.
Achan's greed, a costly deed,
He took the spoil, without heed.
Forbidden treasures, he did claim,
Disobeying God's holy name.
The battle of Ai, they thought was small,
But defeat came, a crushing fall.
Joshua mourned, with dust and tears,
Seeking God, in humbled fears.
God revealed the sin within,
Achan confessed, burdened by his sin.
The stolen treasures, brought to light,
Achan's sin, now faced with God's might.
Achan and his family faced the cost,
Their disobedience, a lesson lost.
God's justice, righteous and true,
Sin's consequences, they did rue.
In Chapter Seven, a solemn tale,
Of sin's deceit and its bitter trail.
Joshua learned, with God's correction,
Obeying God's word, the right direction.
