Wait, in the course of writing this it suddenly struck me. The attempt where the output showed her reaching up and fiddling with the tie, she was facing the camera. The angle she's standing at now, the tie is not directly visible. When I get enough energy for another attempt in 7 hours, I guess I'll delay messing with the tie, and just try to adjust her facing and/or the camera angle so I have a direct view of the tie.
