Sahiba and Mirza's tale is a touching Punjabi story of love and betrayal.
Sahiba, moved by Mirza's skill with a bow, defies societal norms by choosing him over her intended partner. In an effort to prevent violence during a pursuit by her angered brothers, she intervenes by breaking Mirza's arrows as they both slept under a tree in the desert while on the run.
Tragically, this well-meant effort to protect her brothers leaves Mirza defenceless, and in their fury, her brothers inflict fatal wounds upon him. The story explores themes of love, loyalty, and the unintended consequences of choices, evoking a sense of sadness and reflection.
overwhelmed with grief and remorse, Sahiba takes her own life, unable to bear the weight of the consequences of her actions and the loss of Mirza.
