More about Idolatry's Consequence: Numbers Chapter 25 Poem

A tragic turn, a darkened hour,
Idolatry's lure, an evil power.
Israel stumbled, their faith misplaced,
God's anger kindled, sin disgraced.
Moab's women, with their charms,
Led Israel astray, to false gods' arms.
They worshipped Baal, a heathen rite,
God's command ignored, a fatal sight.
Zimri's sin, a blatant display,
God's judgment swift, no time to delay.
A spear of Phinehas, a righteous zeal,
Averted God's wrath, a covenant seal.
Numbers Chapter 25, a solemn tale,
Of sin's consequence, a warning's wail.
God's holiness, demands our awe,
Idolatry's lure, we must withdraw.
