IMPORTANT All recurring characters and locations must exactly match their official master reference images. Reference Images CR-M11 – Weltenbaum CR-M1a – Morksik CR-M1b – Borstel CR-M4 – Hopsy Use every reference exactly as shown. CR-M11 – Weltenbaum is the official environment. Do not redesign or reinterpret the Weltenbaum. Near one enormous root stands the elderly turtle wizard Mossor. He wears simple robes woven from green moss and faded forest leaves and carries his crooked wooden staff with the tiny blue bird perched on top. The living bark of the Weltenbaum has opened naturally, revealing an enormous spiral staircase carved directly into the glowing living wood. Warm golden light rises from deep inside the tree. Every step is illuminated by ancient glowing golden runes. The staircase winds upward into the mysterious Heartwood where bridges, platforms and living branches disappear into luminous golden mist. Morksik stands closest to the entrance looking upward with wonder. Borstel stands beside him in silent amazement. Hopsy stands next to Borstel, smiling quietly because he already understands that the Weltenbaum has accepted them. IMPORTANT: Hopsy MUST exactly match CR-M4. He carries his LARGE distinctive shoulder pouch exactly as shown in CR-M4. The oversized travel pouch hangs from his shoulder to his hip and is one of his defining features. The mysterious embroidered symbol on the pouch must be clearly visible. Do NOT replace it with a small belt pouch or any other bag. All four characters must remain clearly separated and fully visible from head to toe. The atmosphere is peaceful, sacred and filled with ancient magic. The focus of the illustration is the newly opened entrance leading into the Heartwood of CR-M11 – Weltenbaum. include a very small stylized full-body white unicorn logo with delicate proportions and the text “AI by Unicorngraphics” beneath it in the bottom right corner.
The Morks of Mistmoor
Chapter 13 – The Light That Awakened Above the World Tree Part 2 – The Stair Hidden
Inside the Trunk The glowing leaf hovered silently before Morksik, turning slowly in the still air without ever touching the ground. Its gentle golden light reflected within his wide eyes until it seemed less like a leaf and more like a tiny living star. None of the travelers dared to move. Even the countless blue lights scattered throughout the forest remained perfectly motionless, as though the whole of Mistmoor were patiently waiting for something only the Weltenbaum understood. At last the tiny leaf drifted forward and came to rest softly against Morksik's chest. Instead of falling, it dissolved into thousands of shimmering sparks that disappeared without leaving the slightest trace. At once a warm sensation spread gently through him. It was neither painful nor frightening. Rather, it felt like remembering a place he had never visited and hearing a voice he had somehow always known. Mossor smiled quietly. "The tree has accepted your first step." Borstel looked from Morksik to the old wizard with growing confusion. "Accepted him for what?" Before Mossor could answer, a deep sound echoed through the immense trunk behind them. It was not the creaking of ancient wood nor the groaning of shifting roots. The sound resembled the slow turning of an enormous lock hidden somewhere deep inside the living tree. The mighty trunk trembled ever so slightly. Thin lines of golden light appeared across the ancient bark, spreading in graceful patterns like glowing branches beneath the surface. Hopsy's ears stood straight upright. "It's opening." Morksik stepped back instinctively as a section of bark larger than the entrance to Mossor's little cottage slowly separated from the trunk. No wood cracked. No splinters fell. The living bark simply unfolded like the petals of a giant flower until a broad opening appeared within the World Tree itself. Beyond it stretched a gently rising spiral staircase carved directly into the living wood. The steps glowed faintly beneath countless tiny golden symbols flowing across their surface like streams of liquid light. The air drifting out from within the tree carried the fragrance of fresh leaves, spring rain and ancient forests untouched by time. Borstel stared upward into the softly illuminated passage. "I didn't know there was a way inside." Mossor chuckled warmly. "There usually isn't." Hopsy nodded knowingly. "The tree only opens when it wishes to be visited." "Has it ever invited anyone before?" Morksik asked quietly. Mossor rested both hands upon his staff before answering. "Very few. Some came seeking wisdom. Others searched for answers that could be found nowhere else.
