Beneath the moon's soft silver light,
A kitten dreams in peaceful night,
Her fur a blend of black and white,
Whiskers twitching, eyes shut tight.
She dreams of trees so tall and grand,
With branches wide like open hands,
But instead of leaves, there sways and hangs,
Cat toys in colors, bright as bands.
Tiny mice of velvet grey,
Feathered birds that softly sway,
Balls that jingle, bells that play,
In her dreams, they dance and stay.
She leaps from branch to branch in glee,
A tiny acrobat, wild and free,
The tree, a playground just for she,
In this world of dreams, so carefree.
Morning comes, the dream is gone,
But the kitten stretches with a yawn,
Her heart still sings the dream's sweet song,
Of toys on trees, where she belongs.
