A quiet Mediterranean morning at a real seaside campsite on Brač, Croatia. Under an old olive tree, our ginger-haired girl and her Black female friend have created a tiny outdoor camp kitchen beside their newly raised tent. The ginger girl, central and unmistakable, has long natural copper-red hair falling well past her shoulders, softly tousled, with delicate freckles across her nose and upper cheeks. Her Black friend has the same established face and dark complexion, dark textured dreadlocks with a few distinctive locs and the same small decorative ring woven into one loc. Color Ink sharpens the focal details: copper hair and freckles, the friend's textured dreadlocks and tiny ring, the dachshund's eyes and collar, red tomatoes, dark olives and a tiny lavender sprig discreetly tucked into the strap of the ginger girl's sketchbook.
