Lieutenant Basai is a young fighter pilot serving under Commander Darkholme. When squad leaders were needed for the rescue mission for Aidan and Tekai, he volunteered and was part of the squad that found the boy. He later worked with Aidan to identify an attacker ship by having the boy paint it.
