For context... for the last two days I had been getting the impression that I was about to be fired ... for I don’t even know what.
My boss had me go home early one day, had a meeting with someone that I was specifically not allowed to know about... came out of it looking sad when he looked at me... and then I was told, “Come into the office at "x" time tomorrow...”
Sooo there I was, sitting in his office, moments away from crying... when he smiled and pushed a letter across the desk to me.
I just stared at it.
A letter from a national agency saying they wanted to discuss offering me a position as a researcher.
As I read it, I genuinely could not believe what I was seeing. I went from two days of morose agony to complete disbelief... and ended up crying anyway...
only this time from happiness!!!
Its a dream job!! I still can’t believe it!!
