Inspired byChurrigueresque Psychosomatic Magicalism. Incanto. Extrusion, shimmering effect, magical realism: a tiny fairy, standing on tiptoe, drinks tea from a huge porcelain cup; William Kentridge style, layering of objects, loose sand texture, semi-transparent layers, plaster texture; muted blue and green tones, soft shadows, wavy lines, light, fluid movement.
She stood on a spoon to reach the cup. Her wings were the color of windows nobody had opened for years.
The tea dreamed she was an ordinary woman waiting for a bus in Oregon.
It gave her a coat.
It gave her exact change.
It could not think of anywhere she needed to go.
She leaned over the rim and breathed in.
Somewhere inside the fragrance, rain began falling on a bus stop.
“Thank you,” she said.
The tea cooled a little. It had never been thanked for the weather before.
