Roman encounter

Prompt:  The Roman's eyes widened as he accepted the glowing stone, its warmth pulsing in his palm. "What sorcery is this?" he asked, his voice filled with wonder. The alien smiled, revealing piercing blue eyes that seemed to see right through him. "A gift from my world," he replied, his voice melodious and soothing. "This stone holds the essence of our stars." As the Roman turned the stone, its glow intensified, illuminating the intricate mosaic on the walls. The alien's gaze followed his movements, and he nodded in approval. "You have a sense of wonder, human. We have observed your kind for some time now." The Roman's curiosity got the better of him. "Observed us? Why?" The alien's expression turned contemplative. "We seek to understand the complexities of your species. Your capacity for both good and evil is... fascinating."
