Lies wisdom that transcends each age.
Chapter twenty-five, a guiding light,
Reveals God's ways, so just and right.
A brother's widow, left in need,
Her husband's name, she shall not cede.
But rather, a levirate marriage be,
To honor him and set her free.
A laborer's wage, just and fair,
Shall not be withheld with cunning snare.
The ox that treads the threshing floor,
Deserves to eat and glean once more.
But if a man, in shameful deed,
Strikes his brother with wicked speed,
Then let the judges intervene,
To punish the wrong and keep hearts clean.
So let us follow God's command,
In Deut, Chapter Twenty-Five's demand,
To seek for justice and honor true,
In all we say and all we do.
