Echoes of a Distant Siren Song
Across the quiet reach of moonlit foam,
A voice drifts low, as if remembering home.
No tempest stirs, yet still the waters sway,
Guided by hymns from shores long swept away.
She sings of journeys carved in salt and light,
Of sailors lost between the day and night;
Of promises the sea could never keep,
Now folded in the hush of fathoms deep.
The echoes linger—soft, austere, and strong—
A distant pulse within an ancient song.
And though the tide may wash all prints aside,
Her whisper threads the stars that crown the tide.
Follow, and the heart may learn its place:
Not in the peril, nor the ocean’s grace,
But in the moment longing drifts along—
Held by faint echoes of a siren’s song.
