Oil on canvas. Night view of the indigo blue sky over the bay. In the dark blue sky, individual stars and between them streaks of meteorites shooting out from one place. Traces of the passing Perseids, reflection of stars on the wavy water surface. The shores of the bay covered with dark trees and bushes. In the foreground on the right, two cats, an orange-and-white and a tabby-and-white, sit side by side on a wooden pier with their backs to us, the one closer to us has its paw around the other cat's neck, they snuggle up to each other and watch the stars together.
The Perseids are already falling and if there are no clouds in the sky, they should be clearly visible. The moonlight will not interfere, the moon cannot be any closer to the daytime position of the Sun, it is even so close that there will even be an eclipse on Wednesday. If you observe the eclipse, don't forget the filters. For short-term observation, an old five-inch floppy disk is sufficient (of course, only the recording medium from it needs to be used), the filter here is made of iron oxides, which also capture ultraviolet radiation well. Welder's glass is better, but even the darkest glass, smoked by a candle, is completely inadequate, as it does not capture dangerous radiation.
