I walk through halls of whispered doubt,
where voices fade, yet scream aloud.
A shadowed path of steps mislaid,
adrift in fog, alone, afraid.
They speak in tongues of fire and gold,
of truths I used to think I’d known.
Yet here I stand, a hollow shell,
a stranger to myself as well.
The weight of wisdom crushes deep,
but knowledge flees like restless sleep.
Right and wrong, they twist, they blend,
like tides that pull but never end.
Am I the echo of a dream,
a flicker lost in light unseen?
Or just a thought that drifts astray,
forgotten dust at break of day?
If I am nothing, let me be
a breath, a spark upon the sea.
Not bound by chains of wasted years,
but rising through the haze of tears.
For even stars once lost to night,
can find their way back into light.
