The well-known Pleasegiving ceremony dates back to the year 1004 AD, when Leif Ericsson discovered New Duckland (hence the expression "Ten Four Rubber Duck"). To the delight of indigenous Jacuzzi salesmen, the wives and waifus of the intrepid explorers would test the waters accompanied by one thousand and four rubber ducks. The local fashion shops would also be pleased, as the soggy ladies tried to outdo each other in their overly-elaborate wamwear. Since quick-drying polyester and acrylic dresses had not yet been invented, the soggy ladies were pleased to get out of the freezing water and into another outfit as soon as possible, hence the name "Pleasegiving" :) Here is Ophelia, who fell out of a tree while collecting flowers and rubber ducks.
