3 years of hard work, scraping everything I could save. I would ride a bus 1 hour to the end of the route, then walk 8 miles to my work place with little time to spare for being on time. Work a full 8 hours, then repeat my trip home.

I was the 1st in a group which made a pact, My first night I was so exhausted I slept on the living room floor, well that and I had no bed, or furniture. Had a fine meal of beef ramen noodles and fell asleep.

1 Night later I had my fellow homeless friends over, they slept on the floor any time they needed to, and now they had a safe haven to store their possession's.

It was about ten of us arranged on the floor. To keep electricity cost down I removed 3 bulbs from the over head light fixture.

We finally had a home. No more dirty looks from people, a bathroom, A TRUE SAFEHAVEN.
