From a simple seed, a flower did grow,
But its beauty concealed what it longed to show. A man named Charlie, with a mind in the dark, Yearned for the light, for a brilliant spark.
Through trials and tests, his intellect soared, As petals unfurled, his wisdom poured. Yet with each blossom, a shadow did loom, For fleeting is the bloom, in the garden of gloom.
Oh, Flowers for Algernon, a poignant refrain, Of knowledge gained, but at what cost, the pain? For the petals may wither, and the petals may fade, But the essence of beauty, in memory, is laid.
So let us cherish the blossoms, in their fleeting grace, For they remind us of life's transient embrace. And though they may wilt, and though they may fall, Their fragrance lingers, a testament to all.
