The image is my answer to the idea of “burning the stars of the natal chart.”
In the traditional view, the natal chart is a map of karma, personality, destiny, and the forces that shape a life. In the Bhṛgu Saṁhitā tradition, it is imagined that your chart already exists somewhere among millions of others, waiting to be found.
But what if the chart itself is not the destination?
In this image, the charts dissolve into amoebas of attraction and aversion—the living substance of ego. Likes and dislikes, fears and desires, hopes and resistances: these are the forces that give karma its momentum. They are the machinery that turns the wheel.
At the center stands the Microwave of Self-Knowledge. It is both a joke and a symbol. When genuine self-understanding appears, the chart is no longer a prison. The zodiac wheel melts like cheese. Fate melts. Identity melts. The stories we tell about ourselves melt.
The stars are not denied; they are transcended.
The meditator remains untouched because awareness itself was never contained within any horoscope. A chart may describe patterns, but it cannot contain the one who observes them.
To burn the natal chart is not to reject astrology. It is to discover that the witness of the chart is greater than the chart itself. When the cheese of the ego melts, what remains is neither Aquarius nor Capricorn, neither destiny nor accident, but the simple light of knowing itself.
