Artistin the manner of Giger
An epic and detailed oil painting in a renaissance style depicts the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse descending from a stormy, cloudy sky. From left to right, Death rides a white horse, holding a large scythe, followed by Famine on a black horse, holding a pair of scales. War rides a brown horse, brandishing a sword, and Conquest/Pestilence rides another white horse, aiming a bow and arrow. Below them, a city burns in the foreground with raging flames and smoke, while terrified, skeletal figures with empty eye sockets cling to a ghostly white horse's legs, reaching out with desperate hands. In the bottom right corner, a winged, horned demon with a muscular build clutches a spear, looking up at the horsemen. The overall scene is chaotic and dramatic, with a rich, dark color palette and a sense of impending doom.
There four fellows very nearly went out riding last night as all sorts of nuclear codes and warnings were sent out. Apparently it happened. That's why when my wife asks why I am watching the news again I always answer, "I just want to know if they have set a date for the end of the word." It appears that they did last night but it all got canceled again.
