To become a Consulting Rosarian (CR) with the American Rose Society (ARS), you must meet the following qualifications:
Be at least 18 years old
Be a member of the ARS for three years in a row
Have grown various types of roses for at least five years
Be an active member of a local rose society
Be knowledgeable about rose culture equipment and materials
Get letters of recommendation from three CRs who know you and have visited your garden
