This is a rendition of a very very very sad incident. A mother swan died of a broken heart in Bolton, Greater Manchester.

The Mother Swan found three of her six eggs crushed by a brick thrown by teenagers. Due to other stressors, her life long partner had left her alone, and the eggs started slowly dying out having been harassed by moor hens, ducks and a dog. When her last egg broke, so did her heart.

There is something to be said about the transcendental nature of a Mother's Love, and I only hope that this piece is a tribute to the healing that may come about. The Iconography throughout many theologies and religions is a testament to such Love. A Timeless Love.
