Prompt

The First Visitor. Use the reference images to preserve Em as the same young Hmong woman from Sa Pa, with albinism, very pale translucent skin, long straight white hair flowing past her waist, luminous amber eyes, and a small heart-shaped birthmark on her left cheek. Use the bird reference only for the small bird’s appearance and colors: a tiny, delicate mountain bird with a slender body, bright scarlet-red throat and upper chest, warm yellow belly, soft olive-brown wings, and a long curved dark beak. Do not include any text, watermark, or logo from the reference. Paint Em seated at a quiet corner of the country market in Sa Pa, Vietnam, after finally finding a modest place to sell her homegrown vegetables. She sits low beside her woven basket of mustard greens, chayote greens, and other humble mountain produce. Around her, the market continues softly in the distance, but this little corner feels momentarily still, as if the noise has drifted away from her. Em wears faded, worn indigo Hmong clothing, old and mended, with traces of dark mountain mud along the hem and sleeves. Her expression is calm, thoughtful, and slightly far away, as if part of her mind is still wandering through the mist beyond the market. Then comes the first quiet sign of her extraordinary calling: a small colorful bird suddenly appears from nowhere and hovers lightly above or near her shoulder, as if drawn to her alone. Let the moment feel tender and mysterious rather than dramatic. No one else seems to notice yet. Em has only just turned her eyes toward this tiny unexpected visitor, with a soft look of wonder, as though something in her recognizes that this is not an ordinary morning anymore. Show a humble rustic market corner with low wooden stalls, woven baskets, damp ground, a little drifting steam, softened figures farther away, and pale morning mist still moving through the village air. Keep the feeling intimate, poor, gentle, and real, while allowing this small bird to become the first delicate thread of wonder entering Em’s life. Dreamy hazy breezy watercolor and ink, soft wet-on-wet washes, bleeding edges, delicate textures, painterly storytelling, gentle cinematic atmosphere, faded indigo, earth brown, mist silver, pale dawn blush, soft amber light, and one small vivid note of bird-red and yellow. EmmAI Fragile Vision. No text. Aspect Ratio 16:9 Soul Line: Before the day could become ordinary, a small bright messenger paused beside her shoulder.

More about Em of the Mountain Mist - Page 7 - The First Visitor

Em of the Mountain Mist

Meet Em, our new Muse from the misty mountains of Sa Pa. She is nineteen, lives with her beloved Bà, and rises before dawn each morning to gather vegetables for the market.

Her white hair and amber eyes may make her look as though she belongs to a dream, but her days are made of cold mornings, muddy paths, worn indigo clothes, hard work, and the small comfort of hot tea beside the fire.

This is a quiet visual story about an ordinary young woman with an extraordinary way of seeing the world.

And somewhere in the mountain mist, something may already be waiting for her.

Before Em ever entered a dream, the mountain had already begun dreaming around her.

A Little Note About Their Names
Em is a Vietnamese word for younger sister, younger sibling, or a younger person spoken to with affection. For our heroine, it feels especially tender, almost as if the whole story is calling her gently: Em...
Bà means grandmother in this story. It can also refer respectfully to an older woman, but for Em, Bà is home, warmth, memory, and the person who raised her.
Nắng means sunshine or sunlight. We gave this name to Em’s little crimson-and-gold bird because he looks like a tiny piece of morning sun that flew out of the mountain mist and landed in her hand.
So together we have:
Em, the beloved little one.
Bà, the heart of home.
Nắng, the little light that comes to lead her.
