ArtistRaft adrift on the ocean, abandoned bodies half dead and half survivors, inert limbs soaking in the icy water, a small makeshift mast with soiled clothes to catch the wind, to protect from the sun. The sea is not very rough but dark and green colors lick the raft. All hope seems lost, sky with dark and evil clouds. ominous seabirds prowl to scavenge the corpses.
This is a HDR version of "Unexpected Chaos : Le Radeau du Pourquoi Pas ?"
The Pourquoi Pas ? IV was the ship of the explorer Jean Charcot.
Today the flagship of IFREMER bears this name in homage to the famous commander. She was wrecked on September 16, 1936, on the Icelandic Alftanes reefs. There was only one survivor.
When launching into a new graphic on DDG, I didn't think I would bring up this tragedy at all.
Thanks to everyone who enjoyed this chapter.
