More about Lorentz-contracted Metropolitan Line

Well, the trains get to Verney Junction (near Winslow) so fast that the entire line fits on one page :) Maybe that's why they nowadays don't go past Amersham :) Reminds me of the Crossrail stations that span two above-surface stations (like Euston/KingsCross). Oh wait, they haven't built that yet. At least they've extended the GN Electrics all the way to Finsbury Park, after they reused part of the track to build the Victoria Line. Not that I use the underground any more, since I no longer live in London. And haven't they overrun the HS2 budget! Maybe Beeching should have planned ahead better :) Rip it out, put it back, rip it out, put it back. P.S. Lorentz contraction is when distance measurements get smaller when you travel close to the speed of light. That's why you can't see any trains nowadays. Never mind, I can walk (or swim) to anywhere I need to go nowadays :)
