ArtistA beautiful Japanese American woman with medium sesame skin tone and dark balayage hair with deep burgundy lowlights and midnight blue and gunmetal, is hauntingly embraced by the mist of a vampire, while a knight in shining armor, annealed segments, and embossed with botanical patterns from image 1, and has a look of horror on his face. This cover has an updated look where the kimono has autumn burgundy and reds to emulate the Japanese maple leaves (acer) and cold wind and snow like wisps in a silvery blue. A fantasy artwork depicts a frightened Asian warrior in shiny metallic armor looking back in shock as a ghost embraces his female partner, who stands serene and composed with black hair streaked with red. The scene takes place outdoors at night under a crescent moon, framed by vibrant red maple leaves. The ghostly figure, with long black hair, ashen skin, and claws, hovers closely behind the woman, wrapping its arms around her in an intimate yet menacing gesture. The terrified warrior, wearing a detailed helmet and ornate silver armor, reacts with wide eyes and an open mouth. The woman in the foreground wears a patterned red kimono, her expression calm, eyes closed, and posture relaxed as the spirit leans near her face. Billowing white smoke or mist curls around the figures and through the branches, creating a mystical and tense atmosphere against the dark, mountainous backdrop.
