The wounded warrior, battle-scarred and strong,
Carrying burdens that seem to prolong.
A valiant fighter, with a heart of gold,
But wounds run deep, stories left untold.
Beneath the armor, lies a tender soul,
Carrying wounds that take their toll.
Battles fought, both seen and unseen,
Leaving scars that are never too keen.
Yet amidst the pain, a fire still burns,
A warrior's spirit, that always yearns,
For healing, for solace, for inner peace,
To find a way, for the soul to release.
Through trials and struggles, the warrior fights,
With courage and resilience, through darkest nights.
Seeking healing, with each step taken,
Fighting battles, both outer and awaken.
Embracing vulnerability, and facing fears,
Acknowledging wounds, shedding tears,
Finding strength in scars, not just in might,
A warrior's journey, a courageous fight.
And in the midst of battles won and lost,
The wounded warrior finds the cost,
Of war and pain, and the scars they bear,
But also discovers resilience rare.
For wounds can teach, and wounds can heal,
They shape the spirit, and help reveal,
The depth of compassion, and empathy's touch,
A wounded warrior's heart, oh, so much.
So honor the warrior, wounded and true,
For the battles fought, and the strength anew,
A testament to courage and might,
The wounded warrior's unwavering light.
