Chapter 10: The Dark Game
The Players debated what to do next. Lambda, always competitive, wanted to push further, to discover who this Dark Architect was and challenge them.
“If there’s another game going on,” Lambda said, “I want in. Maybe we can outplay them.”
Theta was more cautious. “We’ve barely mastered our own creations. Are you sure we’re ready for… them?”
Q, however, was deep in thought. He stared into one of the black holes, trying to understand its true nature. There was something familiar about it—something that reminded him of the early days of the Players’ game, when they were still toying with quantum fields and particles.
And then it hit him.
“The black holes aren’t just gateways,” Q said, his voice tinged with awe. “They’re bridges—bridges between universes.”
The Players looked at him, stunned.
“What are you saying?” Theta asked.
“I’m saying,” Q continued, “that the Void isn’t alone. There are other Voids, other realities. And whoever the Dark Architect is, they’ve been building these bridges for eons. We’ve been playing a small game.”
Lambda’s eyes sparkled with ambition. “Then let’s make it bigger.”
