America, love it, don’t leave it, change it. No, it’s not perfect. No place is. But America is not all bad either. It is a nation of people who, by and large, mean well but are flawed nonetheless. In that sense it is like anywhere else you can name. The men who created this country had the highest of ideals, and they, and all Americans since then, have had a hard time living up to those ideals. But to throw out the whole noble experiment just because it’s hard to keep up the struggle seems unacceptable.
