There once was a man, a sly hoarder of gold,
His treasure chest filled, a fortune untold.
He'd hide it away, in caverns deep,
And count his riches, while others did weep.
He'd polish his coins, and fondle each gem,
Lost in the glimmer, obsessed with them.
His heart grew greedy, his soul grew cold,
As he clutched his wealth, his fingers bold.
But in the end, he realized too late,
His riches brought sorrow, his joy turned to hate.
For all his gold, he couldn't take,
When he met his fate, in a dark lake.
His treasure sank, forever gone,
And The Gold Hoarder's story lives on.
A lesson learned, of greed's dire cost,
That true riches lie, not in what's lost.
