An oil painting by Pino Daeni depicts a rugged, gray-bearded shepherd with a weathered face, wearing a tan long-sleeved shirt, dark brown vest, dark pants, and a red sash, holding a wooden staff and standing amidst his flock of light-colored sheep on a sun-drenched rocky hillside. In the background, majestic mountains rise under a warm sky with fluffy clouds, illuminated by the golden light of the setting sun. The sheep have thick wool, and some face the viewer while others graze. The ground is covered with sparse green grass and rocks, with a few small flowers. The scene evokes a sense of peace and the harsh beauty of mountain life, with visible brushstrokes adding to the painterly quality.
