The Cat Lady, oh so fair,
With cats that had such fluffy hair,
She loved them all, each and every one,
From morning light to setting sun.
Their purrs would soothe her troubled soul,
Their company made her heart whole,
And though some folks thought her quite mad,
Her cats were all the friends she had.
She'd knit them sweaters, hats and scarves,
And tell them stories of their starves,
She'd brush their fur until it shone,
And in their eyes, she saw a throne.
For in her cats, she found such grace,
A love that never left a trace,
Of sadness, anger, or dismay,
Just pure and simple joy each day.
And so the Cat Lady lived her life,
With cats as her true source of strife,
And when she passed, they all did mourn,
For their dear friend was now reborn.
