Crimson Exodus

More about Crimson Exodus

An abstract oil painting depicts a swirling landscape that transitions from a cool, celestial blue sky to a warm, fiery ground. In the upper portion, turbulent, thick brushstrokes blend shades of electric blue, indigo, teal, and black, resembling cosmic nebulae and stormy clouds, with a bright white and yellow light piercing through from behind a distant mountain range. Below, the landscape transforms into a dramatic forest fire, rendered in vivid reds, oranges, yellows, and magentas. Winding through the center is a pale, glowing river or path that snakes towards a group of silhouetted figures walking in the distance. The trees on either side are gnarled and twisted, their branches and foliage painted with thick impasto technique that makes them appear to be melting or ablaze. The overall atmosphere is chaotic, mystical, and intensely colorful, with heavy texture visible in every stroke.
