More about Rebellion's Toll - Numbers Chapter 16 Poem

In Numbers Chapter 16, a tale of strife,
A story of rebellion, and its bitter life.
Korah, Dathan, and Abiram's greed,
Led them astray, with a destructive seed.
They challenged Moses and Aaron's lead,
Claiming they deserved, a higher creed.
"We are as holy, as you are too,
Why do you hold, a higher view?"
Their rebellion spread, with discontent,
A dangerous fire, that quickly went.
But Moses warned, of God's just wrath,
To turn from rebellion, a righteous path.
The earth opened up, with a mighty roar,
Swallowing rebels, who rebelled before.
Fire consumed, those with wicked hearts,
A consequence, of their rebellious arts.
In Numbers Chapter 16, a lesson was taught,
That rebellion against God, would come to naught.
To honor His leaders, and follow His ways,
To avoid the toll, that rebellion always pays.
