Nothing comes easy, for a path of kings and queens isn't never meant to be one of comfort, and luxury alone.

I regret nothing other than at times loosing hope. I though I was at one point a lost cause. I too made decisions while staring at the precipice that were ill advised. When you see your life hasn't formed as you hope, your love, your future, everything hangs in the balance.

Allowing the heart to rule is rare.

We are out of the woods. No regrets in these choices, I knew secrecy was never on that table, reality drawn from dreams. I knew judgment will, would, and shall come to pass, let them talk. The story of us is complex, manifesting true love has been the most rewarding thing I have ever done.

Understanding what I am getting myself into has been, and will continue to be part of our path. Nothing easy for us adjusting isn't different, change the only constant. The scrutiny will indeed hit differently. Yet I regret nothing, I will never second question this truth.

I understand I am putting myself in cloister, but not with just any woman. A true love. Some question my judgment, disbelieve. None of them hold sway, at the sunset, I know in my deepest feelings this is the dawn of a new day.

Weather it is a foxhole or a mountain peak, a path forged together seeing eye to eye is what I seek. In truth my friends don't quite understand it, I am sure so do many of yours. I don't live for them nor do we allow their inability to see cast a shadow on our path ever and evermore.

The tide shifts, score cards burned. No rivalry, only reveling in a road less taken. Calling your name forever is my destiny. A path ahead lay before us and we are willing to seize it, I have never known attraction this strong.

I am on my own and I know I haven't matched your sacrifice. In fact I believe no one has matched your art, love, perseverance. You turn your pain into a font, I haven't matched this energy, and now I feel self blame

My nemesis is self doubt, I realize now you are correct the doubt itself will be defeated by simply standing up to take my strike. You have lit a fire under my tail. Only another phoenix could understand the surge of emotion I feel. These steps I am about to take.

Our survival intertwined. We step from the woods, meeting a gaze, warmth like I have never felt. Struggles fades to see our ever and evermore.

This leap will be different, you know it too. I see now a simple truth, you're the only one that had the power to make me stay. This twisted world melts when we take our place.
