The line holds. We are still deep in the woods, great change is to come. Upheaval will be known, yet all is well. The fabric holds the human spirit is only frayed.
When society unwinds many of us will cling to fear, yet many more to possibility. Humanity has lived through many great trials. Yet another is at our doorstep. Currency will be soon measured in your wealth of sprit, not a pattern of consumption.
This fate is natural evolution, and to devolve would mean a far worse collective fate.
The bifurcation of societies always occurs, collective hysteria while nothing new goes by another name: Culture. Just as science has no guidance without being grounded in philosophy. They are two sides of a coin. The replication crisis in psychology is an illustration.
To gain understanding you must see the potential folly in codifying minutia. Linguistics are imperfect no mater how precise an author's intention. This corruption of information shows inherent bias in framing. Placing too much emphasis on understanding individuals as isolated is a blind spot. Attempting to placing undue certainty in results, making extrapolations when narrow determinations are prudent seem to be far too prevalent regarding the study of human thought. Perhaps becoming a slave to processes divorced from healthy discussion is a mental illness? There may be many spectrums of behavior, and they may be far less rigid than many would like to believe.
The problem with some is their reality is far closer to fantasy then they would like to admit. If you as an individual or a community are not supple with your intellect or intellects. You will find yourself in places that seem logically sound, yet eventually begin to unravel.
Intuition is powerful because when well honed you're able to sense this inconsistency. If you're diligent, and lucky your able to make necessary adjustment as an individual or community.
