More about Sodom's Destruction - Genesis Chapter 19 Poem

In Sodom's town, with sin so rife,
Two angels came, to visit in life,
Lot welcomed them, with generous heart,
Offered them shelter, from evil's part.
The wicked men, of Sodom's place,
Surrounded Lot's house, with vile embrace,
They demanded the angels, for their lust,
But Lot refused, in God he'd trust.
The angels struck, with blinding light,
To save Lot's guests, from wicked sight,
They warned Lot, of Sodom's fate,
To flee from sin, before it's too late.
Lot and his family, left in haste,
As fire and brimstone, laid Sodom to waste,
But Lot's wife turned back, with longing gaze,
She turned to salt, in a fiery blaze.
Lot and his daughters, found refuge small,
In a mountain cave, where they did call,
They feared for their lives, in the aftermath,
But God's mercy, guided their path.
In Genesis 19, a tale is told,
Of Sodom's destruction, so bold,
A warning of sin's destructive power,
And God's mercy, in His saving hour.
So let us heed, this cautionary tale,
To turn from sin, and never fail,
To trust in God, and follow His way,
And live in righteousness, day by day.
