and the waves of emotion came crashing upon
the shoreline of my soul
and the ebbing tide of the pain inside
relinquishes something more

as though from a dream of my minds extreme
the moonlight of desire
and the heart does hurt of unquenchable thirst
to cool the raging fire

and the stars do burn as my body years
to find a peace so sublime
and memory will serve this i do deserve
throughout the sands of time
