Penny Candy, sweet and bright,
Delights my tongue with pure delight.
A rainbow of colors, oh so grand,
In a tiny wrapper, held in my hand.
Gummy bears, and licorice twists,
Lollipops with flavors that persist.
Sour drops that make my lips pucker,
And chocolate coins that I can savor.
Jawbreakers that last for hours,
Bubble gum that gives me superpowers.
Pixie Stix and candy bracelets,
My childhood joy, no need to guess it.
Sticky taffy, chewy and sweet,
Jelly beans, a tasty treat.
Candy corn, a Halloween delight,
All these candies, a sheer delight.
But, oh dear, my pockets bare,
Penny Candy, no longer there.
Grown-up now, with bills to pay,
Nostalgia's sweet, in a bittersweet way.
Though my tastes have changed with age,
I'll always treasure Penny Candy's page.
A simple pleasure, a sugary treasure,
Forever remembered with fond measure.
