Fredrick Allen Hampton Sr. was an American activist. He came to prominence in Chicago as deputy chairman of the national Black Panther Party and chair of the Illinois chapter.
He was fully committed to building a Black revolutionary organization alongside a militant multi-racial movement to fight for a socialist society. His ability to build solidarity among unlikely groups inspired fear within the FBI and then-director Hoover.
Assassinated Dec 4th, 1969.
Bless his heart
